The CYCresource project was developed by a team of young adults who faced many of the moral challenges presented by this world.
We were young people not so long ago, and many of us are now in positions of youth leadership. We understand that the challenges we faced (and continue to face) are sometimes extremely difficult. But God does give us the strength and support we need to overcome. We continue to be examples of this, and you will be too if you are prepared to put your trust in Him and take the steps to create positive changes in your life. A change that reflects that you are God's child, that He loves you and that you acknowledge that He can save you and has a place for you in His kingdom. With love in our awesome hope, |
As
we attended CYC, Bible schools and youth gatherings, we became acutely
aware that there was a lack of communication between us and our
CYC friends about things that were deeply affecting our lives. We
were all struggling silently with challenges that were distancing
us from God and our friends in the meeting. Eventually something
happened to each of us that led us to reach out and talk to someone
else. Once we began to talk to other young people, it was clear that
many of us were struggling with similar challenges. Some of our friends
were leaving the meeting because they did not see a solution. Some struggled on silently hoping that things would get better.
Yet others of us talked and realized that the need was great and
that with accountability, spiritual guidance and friends to
help and support us, there was hope for overcoming even the most daunting of the challenges facing us.
