Why I got Baptized The decision to be baptized was the best decision that I have ever made. I was baptized at age 14. I knew the doctrines, and I knew that baptism was something that I would eventually come to in my life, I knew that I was was accountable for the knowledge I had, and I had a strong network of Christadelphian friends who could help support me in the Truth. It was the perfect place to begin that relationship of getting to know my God and getting to know my Lord Jesus. It was that first step. |

An event that was very helpful for me and my baptism was actually Levi Gelineau's baptism. We were best friends and both 13 at the time that he joined the family of Christ. I had always known that I wanted to be a Christadelphian, and I had always known that someday I would make that committment, but I never knew when. When Levi was baptized, it helped me to realize that I wasn't too young. I admit that in addition to Levi's baptism, I also felt that pressure from others that we all feel. But I'm glad for it. Without people helping me to make the right choice, I might never have made that decision, and as I said, it was the best decision that I have ever made.
